Massage Therapy – Krista Veryzer, RMT
If this is your first time to the centre we me, please come 15 minutes early as there will be some health forms to complete. These forms are updated annually and help provide me with the information to best, and most safely, create a treatment plan with you.
Within my treatment room we can discuss areas of focus or intentions whether it be a relaxing treatment or a treatment-based massage to aid you in pain management or mobility issues. Orthopedic assessments are simple, hands-on tests that can aid me in determining what may be the root of the issue. Pressure and focus of each treatment is guided by the clients wishes and is tailored to each.
I use heat and hydrotherapy as a relieving method to increase blood flow to areas of the body and relieve tension. After the treatment I will be happy to share some stretching and exercise that will compliment the treatment and aid you with your health goals at home.
Hot Stone Massage
I use volcanic stones in various sizes and weights heated to each client’s preference to apply pressure and tension relief to the body. The heat of the stones increases blood flow, and the unique texture of the hot stones soothes and decreases tension in the body. Pressure and heat is modified to each individual.
TMJ Treatment
This treatment is to treat muscles of the jaw, neck, scalp and face. With TMJ issues a client may be suffering from tension in all of these areas including headaches and neck and shoulder pain, as well as muscles around the jaw including inside the mouth. Intra-oral massage is a technique I provide using gloves to safely treat muscles inside the mouth, as well as outside of the jaw. This treatment ends with a soothing scalp massage and focus to the temporal region to address any tension headache issues. All pressure and modifications are geared to the clients consent and full treatment details will be explained prior to the treatment.
Deep Tissue Massage
This treatment uses various types of massage including Swedish and Trigger Point release. Heat and hydrotherapy are used to heat and relieve tension in the body and aids in relaxation. Pressure and focus is geared to each client and remedial exercises and stretches are provided post treatment.
Massage Therapy – Frank Carone, RMT
If it’s your first time seeing Frank Carone for a Massage Therapy treatment, please arrive 5-10 minutes early to complete some paperwork. If it’s your first time receiving a massage, don’t worry you’re in good hands.
Each treatment with me is tailored to your specific needs, whether it’s for relaxation or pain relief. This customization is based on your health history, an orthopedic assessment, our discussion about the areas to be treated, your pressure preferences, and a thorough understanding of the benefits and risks of the treatment plan. While Massage Therapy can be adapted for most conditions, there are instances where it may not be suitable.
My treatments are based on relaxation; for natural healing to happen, it has to come from your relaxed nervous system. If the treatment is too painful or uncomfortable, it could worsen things. I always listen to you: your health history, your health goals, and your feedback on what is working and what is not. My treatments can be deep, encouraging your body to work through the discomfort and tension you are feeling. There may be tender points that you did not know were there. This is quite normal and part of the process. In general, massage can leave redness on the skin and a post-workout soreness in the muscles.
In addition to manual techniques, I can provide you with home care, stretches, exercises, and care instructions that can help your condition.
Chiropractic Care, Dr. Gian Kaillon, DC
After conducting a thorough history taking and orthopedic examination, Dr. Kaillon will then put together a report of findings in which we will further discuss your condition, pertinent findings, and options. We may even have you lay down so that we can get a better feel for what is going on. You will be able to talk to our compassionate and knowledgeable chiropractor. Be sure to tell Dr. Kaillon about any pain or other symptoms you may be experiencing.
Together, you can decide what you feel comfortable doing and come up with a treatment plan to help you with the pain and any other symptoms you may be having.
